About Our Team
Estate Planners of Arkansas, P.A. was founded 1993. We practice in the areas of Trusts, Wills, Probate, Estate Taxes and Business Planning. We show people the most economical and efficient ways to transfer their assets to their loved ones upon their death. One of our main focuses is to show people how to avoid probate and avoid or substantially reduce estate taxes. We have prepared over two thousand estate plans. Our other focus is to show businesses owners how to protect their businesses while they are alive and how to successfully pass the business to their heirs when they die. Have an attorney contact you about your specific issue.
I’m President of Estate Planners of Arkansas, P.A. I grew up in the North East Arkansas delta country surrounded by beans, cotton, rice and mosquitoes. I earned my B.A. degree in English Literature from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. After a four year visit to Asia, I returned to the United States and received my Juris Doctorate from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville School of Law. I’m licensed to practice law in Arkansas and Texas.
My grandparents are farmers and I initially started in the estate planning field to help them keep the family farm in the family after my grandparents pass while avoiding as much estate tax as possible. Since then I have helped many farming families including cattlemen, businesses and professional family practices set up their estate plans. We have wonderful clients all over the state.
My wife, Kathie, and I have lived and raised our son in North Little Rock, Arkansas since 2002. Before then we lived in Cabot, Arkansas. We enjoyed living in both areas but moved to North Little Rock because North Little Rock is more centrally located to all my clients. This allowed me to travel less while still seeing all my clients.
Jennifer O’Kelley is a native Arkansan. She was born in Benton, Arkansas, and graduated from Bauxite High School. After earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, Jennifer graduated from the UALR William H Bowen School of Law in 2009. Prior to joining Estate Planners of Arkansas, PA, Jennifer was in private practice in West Little Rock handling mostly civil litigation and estate planning for her clients. Jennifer enjoys working with clients to create plans to help preserve everything they have worked so hard to accumulate. When not working with Estate Planners of Arkansas, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family and doing volunteer work for the Center for Arkansas Legal Services and Arkansas Arts Center.
